Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026

Who we are

AutoLead helps private vehicle owners sell their cars through our network of dealerships. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights — in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you enquire about selling your car — through our website, a Facebook form, or by phone — we collect your name, phone number, email address, general location (suburb/state), and details about your vehicle (make, model, year, registration, odometer, condition, asking price, and photos you choose to upload).

How we use it

We use your information to: contact you about selling your vehicle; appraise the vehicle, including checks against the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR); share vehicle details with dealerships in our network to obtain offers; arrange appraisal appointments; and keep you updated on offers and the progress of your sale.

Vehicle photos you upload may be displayed on our website so buyers can browse available cars. Your personal contact details are never published.

What we share

We share vehicle information (not your contact details, unless you agree) with dealerships for the purpose of obtaining offers. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to selling your vehicle.

Storage and security

Your information is stored securely, protected by access controls, and only accessible to our team. We keep it only as long as needed to provide our service and meet legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Contact us and we will action your request promptly.
